Smile Pinki with Alka Saxena
Oscar winning documentary film Smile Pinki will be premiered on Indian television for the first time on Saturday on the occasion of Children’s day. The film shows the story of a poor girl who is living with a severe cleft lip. This film will be first seen by the people of Bihar as the case of cleft lip is mostly found in Bihar.
Smile Pinki is being presented by the famous TV anchor and Journalist Alka Saxena. Alka Saxena was selected by the International NGO after considering a lot of other media personalities for the international charity helping children with cleft lips and palates. Despite being associated with Aishwarya Rai Foundation, Satish Kalra the South Asian head of Smile Train felt that it’s better to have a reputed Journalist on board as they want to keep glamour away from such a serious cause.
Alka Saxena says that seeing the dedication of the members of Smile Train who are providing free cleft lip surgery to thousands of poor children each year influenced her to work for this cause free of cost. Alka Saxena is going to appeal to all Indians to watch this film and make them aware that poor children with cleft lips can be treated free of cost through this programme.
Smile Pinki will broadcast on 14th November on ETV Bihar at 4 pm and at 6.30 pm on ETV Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan. This film will be telecast on DD on 15th November at 9.30 am.
Academy Award winner documentry film Smile Pinki is produced by Sound and Clips and presented by Alka Saxena.
