Samir Aftab, tinsel-town’s new hottie is all set to fill the 'young lover boy' slot in Bollywood. From working with Raj Kanwar as an assistant director to grabbing the lead roles in his recent movies, it has been a long journey to acclaim for Samir.
Hailing from Kolkatta, Samir made his debut in bollywood with Chaand Sa Roshan Chehra, followed by Sunzaara & Shadow which featured a song with Saif Ali Khan’s ex flame Rosa Cattalano. Samir was appreciated for his role in Shadow.
Samir is known for his down-to-earth demeanour; no airs & certainly no high-handed attitude despite the dizzying popularity he's enjoyed over the years.
During his stint as an Assistant Director to Raj Kanwar, he refined his acting skills, working behind the camera for three blockbusters; Badal, Dhhai Akshar Prem Ke and Har Dil Jo Pyaar Karega. Samir believes that this experience helped him in perfecting his understanding of his work as an actor.
Though his first movie Chand Sa Roshan Chehra didn’t do well at the box office, but unlike many first-timers, Samir wasn’t disappointed and took up the challenge of proving his critics wrong. Acting and movies have always been my first love, says the earthy, handsome actor. Samir is all set for a lot of excitement & some jitters as he waits for, not one but two movies, 3 days 4 nights and Krantiveer.

Actor Samir Aftab goes down the memory lane in Goa!
Samir Aftab had a glorious time shooting for 3 Nights 4 days in Goa. The film is releasing this Friday and Samir is all excited for the film to release.
I really cherished the experience because it brought out memories of my college days, says a starry-eyed Samir.
The movie is about 6 friends who come together after many years in Goa for 3 nights and 4 days to attend the wedding of Rocky with his two year old girlfriend Marianne. The lead role is being played by Samir Aftab. The friends have a reunion to remember old times, have fun on the beach and enjoy the wedding of their best friend. Lost love is flamed again and friendships are strengthened in the serene town of Goa.
It’s a moment of nostalgia for Samir Aftab as he recollects those times when he himself used to hand out on the beaches of Goa, including all the craziness and fun.
Boy, he sure had a blast in Goa! And here’s wishing him luck for the release.
