Govinda is undoubtedly the King of Comedy Ritesh Deshmukh
Actor Ritesh Deshmukh started out his film career with the film Tujhe Meri Kasam which turned out to be a flop at the box office. Ritesh’s second film Out of Control by Vashu Bhagnani didn’t do that well either and it beckoned that Ritesh might not have a promising career in the industry. But Ritesh was back with a bang in the comedy film Masti based on 3 close friends which was a complete hit at the box office. Followed by Masti, there was Kya Kool Hain Hum, Bardaasht, Naach, Mr. or Mrs., Fight Club, Maalamal Weekly, Cash, Apna Sapna Money Money, Hey Baby, Dhamaal etc. These films indeed made Ritesh Deshmukh a humorous actor. Ritesh also played the character of a girl in Apna Sapna Money Money. Ritesh is again back in action with his new film Do Knot Disturb which is set to release on 2nd October. Producer Vashu Bhagnani’s film Do Knot Disturb is directed by Vashu Bhagnani. The other actors in this film are Govinda, Lara Dutta, Sushmita Sen. We had a brief interview of Ritesh Deshmukh for this movie
* Producer Vashu Bhagnani made this film along with Govinda and David Dhawan after the super hit film Chote Miyan Bade Miyan. He claims that Do Knot Disturb will also be a super hit. What do you have to say about that?
Even I pray and hope that this movie be as successful as Chote Miyan Bade Miyan
* How was it working with Govinda?
It was a wonderful experience. He is undoubtedly the King of Comedy. When he is acting with you for a scene, it instinctively happens that you tend to perform well because of his performance.
* Did you ever feel left out while shooting with Govinda and David Dhawan since they are so accustomed to each other?
No, not at all since I know where I stand and where Govinda stands. There is absolutely no comparison.
* How was it working with director David Dhawan for the first time?
I was really looking forward to work with him and the day he approached me with this offer, I was ready for it in no time.
* Why do you usually go for comedy films?
Well the only reason for me doing comedy films is because they are enjoyed by the audience every time. It’s not true that I haven’t done any other genres of films but I didn’t get a good response in those movies.
* You seem to really enjoy working with Lara Dutta. Any specific reason behind it?
I really like working with Lara Dutta as we share a good rapport. We’ve worked in 2-3 films previously and it’s always fun working with her. Lara and I are again coming up with another movie soon called House full
* Tell us about Sushmita Sen? How was it with her?
As all of you know that she is so beautiful, she was great to work with. Whenever she used to arrive at the set, everyone used to silently admire her beauty.
* Your upcoming film Alladin is about to release soon starring Amitabh Bachchan? How was that experience for you?
Yes, it was my first time working with Big-B. It was a great opportunity and experience to work with him.
* Finally, tell us about your upcoming films?
There is Alladin, House-full, Run, Loot, Saamna and Jaane Kahan Se Aayi Hai.
