| Story | Ramesh (Joy Mukerjee) is the spoilt son of a wealthy businessman who hero-worships his college professor and mentor (I S Johar). Ramesh is totally influenced by this eccentric academician, who believes that love and marriage are to be shunned by all right-minded individuals. Ramesh meets a pretty girl, Poonam (Saira Banu) and to his consternation, proceeds to fall helplessly in love with her. Things take a bizarre turn when he introduces his lady-love to his teacher and the misogynist promptly loses his heart too! This fluffy entertainer is directed by Samir Ganguly and the highlight of the film is the vivacious soundtrack from Laxmikant –Pyarelal, which includes such delicious tunes as ‘Dil Vil Pyaar Vyaar Main Kya Janoo Re’, ‘Bade Miyan Diwane’ and ‘Woh Hai Zara Khafa Khafa.’ Film buffs will recall that this film set a fashion-trend – the mini-saree which Saira Banu sported ! |
