| Story | This movie is a story of the separation of one one family caused by the Muslim/Hindu time of separation of overland. Many Sikhs had to leave their homes and while doing so, families were torn apart and killed by Muslims. This is a story of Ram and Kartar, who were separated by this particular situation, but grew up together not knowing they are real blood. Years pass, as they both often mention and reminisce of their mother and a brother they both have lost. Ram (the younger brother) is off in the city getting educated and there meets an old lady. Kartar, back home is the backbone of his entire pind. He falls in love with a beautiful girl named Jita, who has just arrived back home from the city. Problem arises when ram returns home and he also falls in love with Jita. He asks Kartar to ask for Jita's hand in marriage, unaware of his older brother's feelings and Kartar being the older one happily chooses to give up his love, only Jita disagrees. |
