| Story | Mili (Jaya Bhaduri), a vivacious girl who gets on with everyone in her building. Curious about a new occupant (Amitabh Bachchan) of the top floor of the building, she finds herself thoroughly snubbed when he rudely asks her to stay out of his life! Other occupants of the building oppose his occupancy as he is reputed to be an ill-mannered drunkard. However, he soon finds her getting under his skin and gradually she gets him to open up about his painful past. Mili too has her own secrets which she is loath to let out.....Jaya Bhaduri and Amitabh Bachchan come together in another sensitive film about two people with burdens to bear. S D Burman composed the music for the film which has just three songs - but every one of them is popular even today - 'Badi Suni Suni Hai', 'Maine Kaha Phoolon Se' and 'Aaye Tum Yaad Mujhe' - tug at your heartstrings everytime you hear them. |
