| Story | Mazdoor is the saga of a poor worker with a rich dream. The man is Dinanath (Dilip Kumar), departmental foreman in Seth Hiralal's textile mill. His dream is to someday own a mill so that his workers will be treated as partners in the enterprise. One day Dinanath resigns rather than to apologize to the management for supporting his co-workers for a humanitarian cause. Ashok a talented orphan boy who Dinanath gave shelter to spurs Dinanath to rise above all adversity and somehow raise enough funds to buy a burnt down loom house that was selling cheaply. The loom house becomes the stepping-stone that leads Dinanath to the pinnacle of success. He becomes a prosperous mill owner, Seth Dinanath with the able support of Ashok, but that's when Smita enters their life bringing with her doom. |
