| Story | A young man (Jeetendra) falls in love with the daughter (Jayapradha) of a wealthy landlord (Utpal Dutt). The landlord, who violently opposes the match, has the young man killed. Events take a bizarre turn when the young man’s soul travels to the next world, presided over by the God of Death, Yama (Premnath). The book-keeper of the Gods, Chitragupt (Deven Verma) discovers that the young man’s life has been mistakenly cut short and his allotted life-span has not run out yet. Meanwhile, this enterprising young man has been busy organizing the oppressed and over-worked Celestial workers into a trade union, to fight for better wages and working conditions! Yama and Chitragupt decide to send the young man back to earth but the problem is, his body no longer exists! |
