| Story | Ram Dayal is an elderly widower who lives in Bombay with his two daughters, Anju and Manju. A very loving father, who has brought them up in an atmosphere of laughter and exuberance, teaching them independence and self confidence as a way of life. Anju's marriage takes place in a totally unsual experience, where the entire household functions like an army machine. Mrs.Dwarka Prasad is the matriarch who runs the household like like a monarch ruling a kingdom. Khubsoorat is the story of Manju's assault on this discipline. She corrects and teaches all the family members to love, live and laugh. It is the story of beauty and happiness, and entertaining emotion. Carrying the message to the youth that freedom is a privilage and not a right, and the road to this privilage is lined with the strictest disciplines. |
