| Story | Shankar (Aditya Pancholi) completes his studies abroad and returns to discover that his father Jagat Narayan (Amrish Puri) has transformed himself into an unscrupulous Godman who dupes gullible people. An evil coterie has sprung up around him and all kinds of crimes are rife. Shankar rebels and is thrown out of the house. Undaunted, he hires a famous magician Goga (Amitabh Bachchan) and pits him against Jagat Narayan. Things get complicated when Goga gets rid of the criminals, but becomes so enamoured of the power he wields, that he refuses to leave! This fantasy film is a change of track for both Amitabh Bachchan and director Prakash Mehra. Jaya Pradha and Amrita Singh play the leading ladies while the music is composed by Kalyanji – Anandji. |
