| Story | Dharma (Amitabh Bachchan) moves to the city with his wife (Waheeda Rehman) to get money for his sister's dowry. Unfortunately, his sister falls prey to the villainy of three hoodlums who rape her and she commits suicide. Dharma is framed in a smuggling case and jailed. When he returns from jail he sets out to avenge the atrocities committed against him. He sends his only son abroad for his protection. When his grown up son (Amitabh in a double role) returns, he has a lot of questions for his father...Kadar Khan plays a police inspector. 'Humka Aisa Vaisa Na Samjho', 'Behna O Behna' and 'Tumse Door Rehke' provided the lighter moments in the film.,Adalat story revolves around a middle class gentle girl Nirmala(Nargis) who along with her mother lives with her uncle. In college she falls in love with Rajan(Pradeep Kumar). After graduation they get separated and Niramala starts working for a drama company whos owner is Kedarnath(Pran) who secretively deals in prostitution ans has his sight on Niramala. One day in a police raid Niramala gets arrested but is set free for being innocent and her uncle throws her out anyway. Rajans father unknowingly gives her shelter and the two are reunited. One night before rajan leaves for America the two come together and on his departure Nirmala discovers that she is pregnant, she informs his father and he tosses her out.Kedarnath accosts her but she escapes and ends uo at a brothel where she only sings for a living. Nirmala gives birth to a boy and for her sons future sends him away to a kind lady who raises him as her own. |
